9 Days Porini Trails

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by a member of our team, who will transfer you to Macushla House and assist you at check in. The rest of your day will be spent at Leisure. All meals will be provided at Macushla House.

Macushla House is a delightful, good-value guest house, in a very quiet, pleasant location, and has been popular with our travellers for many years. The house having only six rooms makes it easy – if you're a solo traveller, or just like mixing – to meet others and share experiences. The pool is lovely on a hot afternoon and the always-open bar and excellent menu of snacks and main dishes are fine assets. Similar to its neighbours in the Karen area, this hotel benfits from being closely located near the main attractions such as the Giraffe Centre and the Karen Blixen Museum, which relates the escapades of this famous author.

After breakfast, you will be piced by our driver guide and transfer to Amboseli National Park, or arrival you will assisted to check into Amboseli Porini Camp. Amboseli National Park is famous for hosting Africa's largest elephants will be explored via day and night game drives, sundown walks with Masai guides and a visit to the traditional local village.

Porini Amboseli Camp is situated in the Selenkay Conservation Area near the northern boundary of Amboseli National Park. The 9 luxury safari tents are delicately positioned under the Acacia Tortilis trees. The large comfortable tents are furnished with double or single beds, solar electric lights and an en-suite bathroom with safari shower and flush toilet.

After the final game activities and a light breakfast at Porini Amboseli Camp, guests are transferred for a scheduled light air transfer to the Nanyuki Airstrip. Upon arrival they will be met and road transferred to the camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Laikipia.

Porini Rhino Camp is a tented safari camp set at the bottom of the Laikipia Plateau on a gorgeous semi permanent stream. The camp consists of 6 spacious guest tents, each comfortably furnished with ensuite bathrooms. The camp is very environmentally-friendly with solar powered lighting and no generator, so there is a real ambience of wild Africa.

After breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Nanyuki airstrip for a scheduled light air transfer to the Masai Mara, Olare Orok Conservancy. Upon arrival you will be met and road transferred to Porini Mara Camp where they will spend the final 3 nights of the safari.

Mara Porini Camp is located less than 18km from the Masai Mara park boundary, giving it the perfect gateway into the famous park from their private conservancy. Porini means 'in the wilds' and the camp keeps true to its meaning - it is an open safari camp making it not uncommon for guests to receive nightly visits from grazing buffalo and elephant.

After breakfast and morning activities, you will be transferred to the local airstrip for your flight to Wilson airport, Nairobi. You have the option of a dayroom, lunch on own arrangements and later on, transfer to JKIA for your onward flight.
